  • Please contact your sponsor child through GO on the Mission. You will have the opportunity twice a year to write a letter to your child or send them a small gift. GO also offers trips to Mexico and Senegal where you can meet your sponsored child in person!

  • GO on the Mission encourages you to visit your child on a life-changing mission trip. We offer multiple trips each year and would love to have you join. Please check out our trips page or send an inquiry to Hannah Snelling.

If you are traveling to Mexico or West Africa independently and would like to visit your child, we will attempt to make arrangements with our partners. Please contact us at least 2 months prior to travel, to make arrangements.

  • A great place to start is visiting our Current Sponsors page. There you will find gift and letter guidelines and letter-writing templates, which are very helpful. Never hesitate to contact the office if you have any questions or concerns when preparing your gift or letter.  We are more than happy to help! Once you have crafted your letter and/or gift please send them to us in the following ways.

Email: Please send to letters@goonthemission.com. You may include photos with your letter as well.

Mail: GO on the Mission, PO Box 2556, Silverdale, WA 98383

  • We will notify you via email, social media, or through your sponsorship coordinator (if you attend a participating church) informing you of the next letter/gift opportunity.   A schedule of these opportunities is also posted on our Current Sponsors page. We notify sponsors a least one month in advance before letters/gifts are due.

  • It is very difficult to receive the news that your child is no longer in our sponsorship program.  We understand your disappointment, but please know that for whatever duration you were able to sponsor them, you have made an impact on that child's life.

Below are the most common reasons that children are no longer in the sponsorship program.

    1) Their family moved: Families who live in extreme poverty move often.  Many are seasonal workers, others move in search of work or for an opportunity with higher paying wages.  Others move in with family members, to combine households and save money.

    2) Age/School Advancement:

MEXICO:  Most children attend the feeding centers through about age 12.  The feeding centers are open each morning from 6:30-8, before school starts. Some are open in the afternoon, which is when older kids continue to participate. For junior high and high school, the schools start much earlier in the morning and the times conflict. The older children still live in the neighborhood and our partners still engage with them, but they no longer are able to attend in the mornings.

SENEGAL+BURKINA FASO: Several of the current schools we partner with only offer classes through grade six. Almost all sponsor children will graduate and continue their education in a public school setting. We encourage and support these children as they make this transition, but it, unfortunately, means that they are no longer able to be in the sponsorship program. Some of the current schools sponsor children attend offer classes through grade 9, and one school goes through grade 12. All of our schools are working towards being able to offer classes to children from pre-school through high school, and we will rejoice when these dreams come to fruition.

  • To update your contact or payment information, please call Megan Aguilar, Donor Relations Director, at the GO office at (360) 692-2231, ext. 2.  We will be more than happy to assist you.  Please do not email us any sensitive information.

  • Senegal + Burkina Faso follow the French School + Grade Level systems. Here is a helpful list of grade equivalents if you’re curious about what grade your sponsor child is in.
