In 2000 two different men, who did not yet know each other, heard the beginnings of God’s call to what would turn out to be key mission roles – one in Senegal, West Africa, and one in Mazatlán, Mexico.

This May I got a plane for Dakar, Senegal to visit our partner schools and meet the little girl I have been sponsoring there for many years.

This January a team of 10 visited our feeding centers in Mazatlán to do some medical check-ups, spend time with our ministry partners, and prepare for our June 10-day trip.

This week 86 students and leaders returned to the US from Mazatlán, Mexico on several teams from GO. During their time in Mazatlán, unforgettable relationships were made, people were baptized, and around 1500 kids heard the gospel through Camp de Futbol as they received a Bible and a soccer ball and said yes to Jesus.

I saw God work in so many ways throughout the trip to Africa, and it is an honor to have had this experience and to witness first hand a glimpse of what He is doing in another part of the world.
