MAZATLAN YOUTH TRIP 2012 Register as a group through your church
(Approx $1900) June 21 – 30 (Suggested)
Every summer, teams from all Washington over travel to Mazatlan, Mexico for two weeks to further God’s mission by serving local Christian churches. This means team members also get the chance to serve all the various outreach ministries each church supports – surrounding neighborhoods, feeding centers, orphanages, dump towns, elderly asylums, and the prison. You will also work together with these churches to host a four day ‘Camp de Futbol’ for the children of Mazatlan, where kids get a t-shirt, soccer ball, and a chance to learn about Jesus in a group of their friends.
This trip is designed for team members to work together in groups from their home church, growing deeper together in their understanding of God’s mission in another culture, and broadening their overall perspectives of the world. Students will also meet and work together with students from other churches and from local Mazatlan churches to coach Camp de Futbol small groups, giving them an opportunity to develop their teamwork capabilities and communication skills.
